What we hold, and what we do not

Your key is made on your phone and never leaves it. This page is the rest: what the app tells our server, what the server keeps, what we cannot do, and how to tell us when something is wrong.

LAST UPDATED 30 SEPTEMBER 2026

1. Your key

The key is made on your phone, in the first minute, and kept in the phone's own secure store, behind your face, fingerprint or screen lock. It is never sent anywhere. The wire between the app and our server has no field a key or a recovery phrase could occupy, and the server has no code that could read one.

2. What the app tells our server

  • The addresses it asks balances for. Balances, fees and quotes come through our server, so it sees the addresses your phone asks about.
  • A send you approve. The signed send, so we can pay the network for it and take the fee from the USDT. It is already signed when it leaves your phone; we cannot change it.
  • A device record. Model, operating-system version, app version. Used to meter reads and to diagnose faults.

That is the list. There is no account with us, no email, no phone number. Neither app carries an analytics kit: no Firebase, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude, nothing that phones home about what you tap.

An exchange you connect is different: those requests go from your phone to the exchange with the read-only key you made there. They do not pass through us. The full list, and what happens to it, is the privacy policy.

3. What we cannot do

  • See your key or your recovery phrase.
  • Move your money, freeze it, or hold it. It never sits with us, before or after a send.
  • Undo a send. Nobody can; that is the network.
  • Stop Tether freezing USDT at an address. Tether can, at any address, and the hygiene page is about staying clear of that.

4. If our servers were gone tomorrow

Your money is on the network, under your key, and your recovery phrase opens it in any other app. What you would lose is the gasless route and the one total; the USDT would be exactly where it was.

5. Reporting a problem

If you have found a security problem in the app, the server or this site, write to us through the contact page and say "security" in the first line. We read every message, and we will answer with what we found and what we changed. Please give us time to fix it before making it public.

We never write first. Nobody from Dashing Crypto will ever ask for your recovery phrase, your key or a payment, on any channel.
